Gyokuro tea is the most surprising and most precious of Japanese teas

Gyokuro is a very special tea. Two to three weeks before the harvest, the tea bushes are covered with straw to prevent the light teaching them. This type of culture, in the shade, gives the tea its very unusual colour and refi ned taste. It is delicate and concentrated at the same time, with an almost salty fragrance. Much patience and precision are required to obtain the perfect Gyokuro tea.
